Course Description:

The key to success in todays fast paced and ever changing post production environment, is to stay current and up to date with the latest trends and technology. As an editor you should be asking yourself how you can quickly get "up-to-speed" with the latest and greatest software to ensure your longevity in the post production market.

Final Cut X, Apple's latest iteration of the industry leading post production software is a must learn for hard-core Final Cut officianos. This release is sure to make more than a mark on the industry. It will change perceptions and beliefs of what is efficient and necessary as well as setting the bar for standards, quality and end result expectations.

Who Should Attend?
This seminar is for experienced NLE editors from any background and platform. It's meant for those that have a good grasp and understanding on concepts like trimming, three point editing and keyframing. It is not meant for new users or novices as the pace is fast. Concepts, procedures and instructions can be misinterpreted or misunderstood if missed in the context of the instruction.

Prerequisites:
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:
  • Basic knowledge of the Mac OS X

Course Description:

Bootcamp training is the epitome of a mental and physical challenge bringing an individual to a performance peak. This allows one to be ready in an instant for whatever scenario or situation is thrown at them and ensures that they are ready to react with precision, skill and accuracy.

Bootcamp X is a "must have" one-week training certified course that will give individuals the performance edge when working with Apple's new revolutionary NLE Final Cut X, their speed enhanced motion graphics software Motion 5 and industry leading post compression utility Compressor 4. All courseware and all certification exams are included.

This training is more than just a way to find out where the options, buttons and special features are located. This training will have a deep "scenari-flow" basis. This means that we will work with real life "scenarios" and experience an established base of "workflows" to reveal the power, potential and practicality of Final Cut X, Motion 5 and Compressor 4. When finished you will not only be completely up to speed but you'll be completely certified. Bootcamp X is the launching ground for you to get your Final Cut X and Motion certifications.

This seminar is for novice and new users to Final Cut X as well as experienced NLE editors from any background and platform. It's meant for anyone regardless of background and will cover concepts like trimming, three point editing and keyframing.

In this course you learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, ripple, roll, slip and slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

Final Cut Pro 200
Comprehensive Study of Final Cut Pro 7

Course Description:

This five-day, hands-on course teaches students to perform basic editing functions while becoming familiar with the Final Cut Pro user interface. This course is based on the FCP 101: An Introduction to Final Cut Pro. In FCP 200, however, the lessons are covered in five days instead of three, allowing for more comprehensive coverage of the lessons. Start with basic video editing techniques and work all the way through Final Cut Pro's powerful advanced features. Learn to mark and edit clips, mix sound, add titles, create transitions, apply filters, and more. Topics include basic setup, customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip, and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

Please note that the first three days of this five-day course consists
of FCP101 training.

Learn how to create polished transitions, fix screen direction errors, edit multi-camera projects, work with nested sequences, create fantastic effects using filters creatively, and composite like a pro. This course also covers advanced workflows for managing media and working with film.

Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for existing Final Cut Pro users who want to increase their skill level through learning advanced features and efficient workflows, and who prefer hands-on and interactive instruction. Also ideal are an understanding of the Macintosh operating system and basic computer navigation.

Introduction to Color Correction in Final Cut Studio

Course Description:

This two-day, hands-on course will familiarize students with the color correcting capabilities of Final Cut Studio. Start with the basics of color balancing and correction, and move on to the fine points of secondary grading, including scene matching, using vignettes to isolate and track regions, creating advanced color effects and "looks," skin tone adjustments, adjusting the composition and framing of a shot, and much more.

This two day, hands-on course delves into the world of DVD authoring with DVD Studio Pro 4. In this comprehensive course, students will learn everything they need to create a professional DVD title. This course guides students through every aspect of DVD authoring, from initial storyboarding to burning and replication. Using compelling media and a real-world production workflow, students will learn how to create amazing MPEG 2 video with Compressor as well as create eye-popping motion menus directly in DVD Studio Pro 4.
